Twilight DVD Extras: New Updates!

01/10/09

OKAY, SO! The DVD extras have been announced!  Here's the scoop:

-Audio commentary by Catherine Hardwicke, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson
-Muse music video: “Super Massive Black Hole”
-Paramore music video: “Decode”
-Linkin Park music video: “Leave Out All the Rest”
-Five extended scenes with director introductions
-Five deleted scenes with director introductions
-Seven-part documentary: “The Adventure Begins: The Journey from Page to Screen”
-Comic-Con “fandom” piece
-Comic-Con NY sizzle reel
-Three trailers
-Penelope trailer

*also, Catherine Hardwicke has said that she and Robert filmed a scene directly from Midnight Sun that will be included on the DVD, so I'm assuming that may be one of the extended or deleted scenes!

Twilight on DVD March 21st!

01/08/09

I think that all fans will be extremely pleased to hear that the Twilight DVD is set to be released March 21st! Exactly four months after it's theatre debut! It's a two-disk Speacial Edition so I'm guessing it's going to be jam packed with awesome extras and interviews! Also to be noted: Amazon has put up a pre-order page (probably a good idea for the eager fans considering how the box office sold out!).

I know I'm sure excited to watch Rob and Kristen over and over again in the comfort of my own home! Hopefully this will help ease our buzz about New Moon, and hold us off till November (not that Breaking Dawn's August released kept fans held back for long)

(hehe.. I just pre-purchased my copy, along with the twilight saga official guide and twilight movie companion =D I'm excited to get mail now!!)

Single Until He was 18!

01/06/09

In a recent inerview Rob admitted that he didn't have a girlfriend until he was 18! Hard to believe, I know!

“I was a bit of a loner at school, quite anti-social,” he recalls. “My first kiss was when I was 12, but I didn’t have a girlfriend until I was 18.” Rob also admitted recently that he isn’t the lothario everyone has him pinned down to be.
“If somebody asks me out on a date, I go out with them! But I never get asked,” he said.
“And I never know how to ask other people. I’m not good at the whole ‘dinner’ thing. I’m a bit of a loner.
“I’m boring. I stay home, watch TV and eat a lot of fast food. That’s really exciting, isn’t it?”

I find this news really shocking and cute. Poor Rob, always thinking he's so boring and such bad boyfriend material. Hey Rob, will you go out with me? I'm sure I won't find you boring!

Rob Got a Haircut!

01/02/09

Yes, he really did. Rob cut his hair. This is understandable seeing as he has said a lot that it always gets in the way and he didn't get WHY people were obsessed with it. There are a lot of heartbroken fans, and yes, it's a little disappointing. HOWEVER, Rob is HOT. And he looks great with or without hair. I personally think that this will help those fans that get a little too carried away distinguish the difference between Rob and Edward. Maybe he'll start being called Rob again and Tyra won't mess up on his name. Personally, in the before and after pic below I think Rob looks way hotter with the new cut, but that's just me. I love his Edward look obviously, but I appreciate him as an actor and a real person so I think it was a good choice, especially since he's not going to be in New Moon much =( Maybe it will mute the screams a little wherever he goes. But I also think that this will help him to see that girls actually do love him, and they aren't just obsessed with who he plays. He's an amazing actor who isn't always too confident in himself so maybe this will help boost that self-esteem. ANYWAYS. I don't know, start a thread in the forum and tell me your thoughts. Twilight Movie

01/02/09

So the movie is out! It actually came out November 21, 2008. There have been a lot of mixed reviews but here's mine: I loved it! I went into the theater with this frame of mind: the book and the movie are separate. Here's the movie, the book's over there. I didn't expect them to be the same, there was no way they could fit a 500 page book into 2 hours. So i was very open minded and I really liked it. Mind you there were some parts that bothered me. I've now seen it five times and it gets better every time. I didn't like how they fell in love in like a month's time, and some of the facial expressions were hysterical but that's okay. I thought Kristen Stewart did a phenomenal job, and despite all of Rob's claims that he doesn't know how to act, he did a great job. Especially keeping in mind that a lot of his scenes he was supposed to look threatening and still sexy. He passed. The teens in the movie added some great comic relief. I would have liked a few more lines from the other Cullens, but seeing as the story is about Edward and Bella I realize that that was probably not possible. The Nomads were great, and I thought that Rachelle LeFevre did an excellent job pulling off the feline side of Victoria. Anyway, in the end I walked out wanting more. I went back multiple times, and I can't wait for New Moon. So kudos to the cast and crew. Especially Kristen and Rob, also Melissa Rosenberg and Catherine Hardwicke (who won't be directing the squeals). New Moon is scheduled to come out in November 2009 (but more about that later).
